Saitama INU Coin is an ERC20 token inspired by the comic book ‘One Punch Man’ in which Saitama is the main character. The mascot, yet, is based on a watchdog man from ‘One Punch Man’.
As mentioned in the project’s whitepaper the Saitama brand was inspired by “the legend of a mysterious ghost dog that is said to be roaming around the mountains in the region of Saitama in Japan”.
The goal is to educate the next generation of investors about investing and overall financial stability. This is where Saitama comes in, providing content that teaches them how money works when they invest it thereby opening opportunities for wealth creation. Saitama’s goal is to foster human connection through financial literacy filling this gap between the cryptocurrency market and the financial market and preparing the next generation of investors.
Saitama was founded in 2021. It has gained some momentum thanks to the listings provided by some major and key exchange platforms. Many cryptocurrency exchange platforms have listed the coin including Coinmarketcap, Bitmart, and Uniswap.
A 1% of the total of every transaction with Saitama is deducted and redistributed to the pool of 40000+ holders. It means just by holding you will see an increase in the number of tokens every day as the community of Saitama transacts.
The Saitama INU is a deflationary token, which means the coin keeps losing its supply with every transaction. A 1% of the total amount of the transaction is burned with each transaction you make. This reduces the market supply thereby keeping the value of your Saitama INU at its best. Till now 57% of the total market supply of Saitama has been burned (as updated by Saitama on 23 July 2022). The market supply of Saitama is constantly shrinking, therefore, increasing the value of Saitama over time. The maximum supply of Saitama was a hundred billion coins.
As of 27 July, 2022 Saitama INU is valued at:
1 Saitama INU = 0.00000000008114$

Saitama’s migration from V1 to V2
Saitama has adopted a new tokenomics recently, which they call Saitama V2. They have migrated their tokens from V1 contract to the V2 contract, this was initiated to save Saitama and overcome the flaws underlying Saitama that were affecting its value and community.
According to early V1 tokenomics, the total market supply of Saitama was a hundred quadrillion coins, where with every transaction 2% of the total value was burned and distributed amongst the holders. The new V2 tokenomics says that now the total market supply of Saitama has been reduced to 100 billion coins, where 43 million coins are currently in circulation and a total of 57% coins have been burned. Now with every transaction, only 1% of the total value worth of coins will be burned and only 1% will be distributed to the holders. This has increased the value of Saitama. A 4% tax will be charged which is quite affordable.
The people who are owning the V1 tokens of Saitama on any supported exchanges, their tokens will be automatically converted to V2 by the exchanges without losing the value of the coins. That means if you owned 100$ worth of V1 coins after migration to V2 your coins worth will be still 100$, this states that the migration is completely safe.
However, if you own Saitama in a private wallet you need to perform manual migration to convert your V1 tokens to V2 tokens. This can be done by using Saitama Manual Migration Tool. Currently, there is a limit on converting up to 20 billion V1 tokens and gas fees will be applied.
