How do Users make Money using the Map2Earn mechanism?

How does Map2Earn work with OVER?

The OVER app helps the mapper during the capture process, which takes about 5 minutes per 300 square meters of typical OVER land. The three assets that follow are the result of this procedure.

  • A 3D point cloud of the location The capture guide gives the mapper a precise visual reference to the 3D structure of the actual location where the mapper wants to incorporate the augmented reality experience.
  • Observer’s location based on a relocalization algorithm The OVER app uses a 20cm-accurate relocalization algorithm to locate the observer of the augmented reality experience based on the 3D point cloud of the location. Delivering a coherent experience necessitates this.
  • The digital twin of the mapped area The app can also create a digital twin in order to replicate the simulation of the mapped location using a neural radiance fields (NeRF) algorithm. The app currently provides a virtual drone flight over the mapped area via this feature. Users will be able to experience geolocalized AR content even from afar in the future through a free location exploration.
